Editor's Note ERIC O'KEEFE HALL OF LAUREATES Preparations are already underway for The Land Report to unveil its signature study at the 2020 Land Expo. E ach year at the end of January, I journey to the capital of the Corn Belt. Blame it on T. Boone Pickens. Five years ago, the Oracle of Oil invited me to accompany him to Des Moines where he was slated to give the keynote address at the 2014 Land Investment Expo. Neither 10° temperatures nor my thin blood has stopped me from missing a single edition since then. anks to our continuing participation in the Land Investment Expo, I'm positive that we're doing a better job living up to our tagline: the Magazine of the American Landowner. Proof of this will come when we unveil the Land Report 100 at the 2020 Land Investment Expo. e setting could not be more august: the World Food Prize Hall of Laureates, a stunning Beaux Arts masterpiece dedicated to that great Iowan Norman Borlaug. And the timing? Just days before the Iowa caucuses. Haven't our current Ambassador to China as well as the 45th President of the United States been featured speakers at the Expo? No coincidence there. Going to the source to get the latest on AMERICAN AGRICULTURE . e One & Only 12 L ANDREP ORT.COM e LandReport | AGRICULTURE 20 19
