As the 2014 Land Report 100 was being finalized, the Reed family's Green Diamond Resource Company announced that it had closed on 600,000 acres of Oregon timber- land belonging to the estate of Richard "Dick" Wendt, founder of JELD-WEN Windows & Doors. Green Diamond is one of the oldest continuously operating forest products companies in the Pacific Northwest and can trace its roots back to 1890.
